Back in June 2013, It was really big when Instagram announced that everybody can post a video on their platform since it’s mainly just a photo app before. But now, 4 kinds of content that are available to be published and produce on Instagram in order to build your tribe on Instagram and here are general thoughts about them:
Instagram Feed
Instagram Live Video - live videos last for 24hours after upload. You can also go live with a friend, anyone who’s watching your live video can request to join your live or even do a live interview. Engagement is the best part of being live in any platform, especially, if you can keep or even train your audience to consume your live videos, much better while you’re still live.
Instagram TV - long-form vertical video content that, for me, has the highest production value among other content that is 4-5 minute YouTube-like videos.
Instagram Stories - among others, this is the easiest to produce and people are expecting you to be just you, the real you. This is also a great way for your channel/account to grow because people will get to know and trust the authentic you.
Reels - Instagram's newest feature that lets you record and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects, and new creative tools. Best to add in your feed because IG's algorithm loves it when you use their new feature.
Everyone’s audience is different. So, engage with your audience, ask them what kind of content they prefer, do some analytics and do testing to see what kind of posts are working best for you.
