  • DO NOT Do these on INSTAGRAM Stories

    Aug 07, 2020

Even though you can freely share anything on Instagram stories, there are still things that you need to avoid to keep your viewers or followers watch!

Here are the 5 things you should not do on Instagram Stories:

    1. Avoid rambling on - viewers only want to watch short Instagram stories, not a 10-minute long monologue. I suggest 20 stories and keep it short. Do not overshare.
    2. Don’t allow part of the story to expire - Instagram stories only last for 24 hours. So, don’t leave stories up without context. If the beginning of the story expired, much better not to share it.
    3. Don’t use face filters - It’s okay to use a feature that makes your skin looks clear or toned but avoid those actual face filters.
    4. Don’t cut yourself off and still post the story - If you made a major mistake and the story is no longer coherent or messed the video up, delete it and re-record.
    5. Tagging someone on the left of the right side of the screen -  Try to put your tagged person in the middle of the screen because if you put it on the left side, viewers will be just taken back to the previous clip and if it’s right it will just go to the next video. It will be an ineffective tag because it’s not clickable.
